Earlier this year PowaKaddy announced it will launch it’s new 2017 range of trolleys including the very first Electric Golf Trolley with GPS technology. Following the great success of the 2016 FW range, the 2017 models take a step up in technology

Lets take a closer look…

FW3i:

The FW3 is Powakaddy’s most popular and affordable entry level trolley. Starting at just £299, the FW3i is ideal for the golfer looking for a basic but reliable Electric Trolley – which in fact this year, includes many of the features of the higher priced FW5i & FW7 GPS models.

FW3i features a new digital screen upgrade with a power gauge and battery fuel indicator so you know exactly where you stand with your battery on your round of golf. An easy on/off button on the T-bar grip offers a simple way of controlling your trolley and everything you need to know will be displayed on the digital screen – a feature that has previously only been available to the FW5 & FW7 models. The 200W motor is ultra quiet to allow you to concentrate on your game and not distract others around you.

Finally, the FW3i along with the other 2017 models features the thinnest Lithium battery available on the market today. Lithium Plug and play replaces fiddly connectors with a streamlined cassette system which allows the batteries to quickly slot into place.

FW5i:

Like the FW3i the New FW5i features a new full colour screen display. This allows you to see the battery charge, power gauge and like the 2016 model includes a handy USB charging port for your GPs or mobile phone. FW5i also boasts the 200W ultra quiet motor seen in the FW3i.

The ADF (automatic distance function) which first featured back in the Freeway Digital model of 2005 is included in the FW5i features and allows you to send your trolley 15, 30 or 45 yards hands free. A very handy feature to set your trolley on it’s way to the next tee to save time in your round.

FW7 GPS:

With launch not until March 1st 2017 there is little to reveal in the way of features and technology on the new FW7 GPS model at present. David Catford, PowaKaddy’s CEO explains more…

“We’re really excited about what the integrated GPS technology will offer golfers in 2017, but we can’t reveal too much about the new model just yet, other than the fact the trolley has all the features of the award-winning Freeway range and a fully integrated high-performance GPS”.

David also went on to mention an upgrade to the Lithium battery option, giving you 20% extra power for longer a life.

The innovative plug and play system that’s made the FW range the success that it has been over the past few years also returns. Plug & Play allows no wires or cables & no heavy battery to carry to and from the car. Easy!

FW5i along with it’s sister models FW3i & FW7s, were recently awarded the ‘Quiet Mark’

What is Quiet Mark? 
The Quiet Mark is the international approval award programme associated with the UK Noise Abatement Society charitable foundation. It recognises technology that has been designed to reduce noise within the design of everyday machines and appliances, and find solutions to noise problems. PowaKaddy trolleys are the only electric trolleys that have the Quiet Mark accreditation.
