Mizuno and Luke Donald extend long standing equipment agreement
On the eve of the Waste Management Phoenix Open, Mizuno and Luke Donald announced that one of the longest standing equipment relationships in golf has been extended.
Donald has also switched irons for 2017. Donald who normally opts for one of Mizuno’s classic MP irons has moved onto the increasingly popular JPX900 Tour model. Compact enough to work the ball, the JPX900 Tour is becoming increasingly chosen for its stability on off centre hits and a few extra yards.
Donald has played Mizuno equipment since his youth and throughout his successful US College career. Since turning professional in 2001, Donald has won 14 times across the PGA Tour, European Tour and Japan Tour, held the world #1 ranking, won the money list on both sides of the Atlantic and has an impressive 10W-4L-1D record in the Ryder Cup.
Donald, an exceptional iron and wedge player and Mizuno, renowned for their Grain Flow Forged irons and wedges are considered one of the best matched pairs in golf.
